G.R.I.T through Games
Grit is essential for highly gifted children. It empowers them to transcend their innate talents and excel in their pursuits. In the face of formidable challenges, grit cultivates resilience, turning setbacks into stepping stones for a growth mindset. Grit builds robust, intrinsic self-esteem that values persistence and effort, ensuring that their extraordinary abilities are accompanied by the thoroughness and an indomitable spirit needed for enduring achievement and personal fulfillment.
At Passend Education, we use “SMART” games as they are far removed from academic pressure, but help with:

Social Development through Playground Experience
Through designing their own playground games and with group round table discussion, we help gifted kids analyze and practice how to play in the playground in their normal school environments.
At Passend Education, we use “Simulated and (Un)supervised” play to help practice and develop the following skills and experiences:

Projects for Differentiation
Project-based Learning is the superfood for the brain and the gold standard for differentiation in curriculum. We see children disengaged from school transform when they finally have their own say in what and how to learn. Equally important is that projects help gifted children accept challenges like perfectionism.

Camps/Trips for Real-World Experience
Our annual camps are often the highlight of the year—an opportunity to make close friends, build independence, and learn how to face the challenges of camping constructively. Blending STEAM and SAGE activities with outdoor exploration, campfires, and BBQs, these experiences spark curiosity, strengthen resilience, and create memories that last a lifetime.

At Passend Education, we provide two types of assessments tailored to understand your child’s unique needs:
The Assessment
A 30-minute session conducted by our operational team. It focuses on observing your child’s behavioural patterns, learning styles, and preferences through engaging activities such as SMART games, number-ranking exercises, and guided Q&A. This helps us build a clearer picture of your child’s learning profile.
The Expert Assessment
The Expert Assessment is a more in-depth, 2-hour session led by our Highly Gifted Education Expert, TJ van der Molen. This assessment provides a deeper analysis and professional insights into your child’s abilities and needs.
